Paintings
"In my recent works, book assumed an important role, but not as a form of expression but as a substitution for canvas. The paintings themselves were made on book sheets. The idea was transformation of the traditional concept of a book into a new concept of visual story that can be considered "read", as it is the case with conventional books, only after the last book page is "read". These works, just as all my to-date works, deal with the topic of childhood and growing up. My paintings mostly do not reveal a narrative form at first glance. The phenomena that in the most cases attract and inspire me and the stories my paintings are meant to visualize are linked to relations between children and social norms that influence their growing up. Naturally, some more profound, hidden stories and messages are usually revealed beneath the surface". Bojan Radojčić
